Organising Your Family History Research: Tips and Tricks 📚

In this video, I walk through how I’ve structured and organised my family history research. I share the methods I’ve adopted over time, including using Ahnentafel numbers as my main numbering system and dividing my research into four key family lines.

I also explain my colour-coded system for tracking records, along with the way I create timelines and written biographies to bring each ancestor’s story to life.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on my approach and any suggestions you have for improving or refining these methods.

Thank you so much for watching! If you’d like to follow along with more of my genealogy research and tips, please subscribe on YouTube and also on Substack for updates and deeper insights.
